Attorneys Interested in Representing Workers and Famers
Workers can apply to the US Department of Labor and farmers can apply to the US Department of Agriculture in order to be eligible for the Trade Adjustment Assistance program. Many petitions are initially denied as a result of a lack of knowledge regarding the application process. Workers and farmers initially denied TAA eligibility have the right to appeal to the Court of International Trade. The TAA Legal Appeals Center provides advice and identifies attorneys who might be willing to represent workers and farmers in their appeals before the Court of International Trade. The TAA Legal Appeals Center can also provide general consultative advice regarding the application and appeals processes.
